That's it, it is time to say goodbye, my exchange semester nearing the end.
I spent five incredible months here, I quickly made to this place and even if there were some shorts moments of blues and lack, I keep only the positive. In any case I regret my choice and I'm proud of choose this destination. If it again, I'll go back directly. This experience opened my eyes and taught me more about myself and another world, another culture...
That country, all the amazing people I met and all the crazy moments I spent will miss me so much!!! It is time to return to reality; even if I'm happy to return to my family and my friends, this farewell breaks my heart.
Everything I can say, is thanks Taiwan, thanks, to everyone I could met here, and to my school which gave me this amazing opportunity.
It is now time to go home...

The various political parts:
In 1986, the right of association appear in Taiwan. It is an important step in the political story of Taiwan, because it is the creation of the different political parts. There are around 137 parties, but only four of them have an important role:
- The KMT (Guomindang)
It is the first political party in Taiwan, it has nearly two million members. He ruled the country continuously for 51 until 2000, but picks up the head of the country in 2008, however with the 2012 elections, it loses some seats following corruption cases. It advocates a certain rapprochement with contains and a reunification of the country. 67 seats at the Parliament.
- The DPP (Democrat Progressive Party or Minjindang)
He won the presidential elections in 2000 and again in 2004, but today he became the main opposition political party. This is the party more left of Taiwan is account today more 150000 members. It is a non-stop raining week!
I didn't, until now, never suffered of tropical rain. However, if may it was suppose to be the "raining month", but it had managed to escape… until now!
I have never seen so much rain in such a long time, I did a short video so you can realize: clic here
Yesterday I went out 10 min and in this very short while, my shoes and me clothes were wet as never… Even with an umbrella!
But I had noticed that here, more part of people wear flip-flops or shorts when it is raining, so this is what I did; and I must say that it is much more practical, at least our clothes are dry much more quickly.
However, as much water is required to cause damage. So I watched the news and I saw that these tropical rains had caused some damage to the South of Taiwan. In some southern cities like Kaohsiung (2nd largest city of the island), schools and some parts of the city as were closed and traffic has been suspended... Unfortunately, this has not prevented all accidents, a couple has been carried away by the river that has overwhelmed, and the accumulation of water caused a landslide that came hurter one car...
At Taiwan, (young) couple are dressed as the same….
It is a very strange phenomenon that I had noticed since I am here, but I see it more week after week…
In Taiwan, or in all Asia, it is very badly seen to kiss in public and affective gestures are very rare. So, to prove their love to each other and to show it to the world, couples are the same. This can go from a simple pairs of shoes, a sweatshirt or even to an entire similar outfit. And they are very proud to show it!
Here, it is very common to see people dressed the same away, while for us it’s very….strange. This mode is now entered in the manners and is fully part of Taiwanese culture.
However, it is mostly a popular phenomenon for young people, once the couple are mature, they just were the same socks…
Ridiculous or cute idea? Has you of jude…
